Join Allan Borodin from the University of Toronto for an informal discussion of career options available to computer science MSc and PhD graduates, what graduate student life is like, active research topics in computer science, how to put together a successful graduate application, graduate student funding, and why consider the University of Toronto. Faculty members from York's graduate program in Computer Science will also be present to answer questions.

The lab is officially due on Dec 3, but I will accept it with no late penalty until Dec 17. I will be away at a conference from Dec 8-14, so if you wish to hand the lab in during that time, please hand it in to the department office, and they will put it in my mailbox.

Sections and questions from the text
In the textbook, we have covered:
Chapter 1, sections 1.1-1.10
Chapter 4, sections 4.1-4.3, 4.5
Chapter 6, sections 6.1-6.3
End-of-chapter questions emphasizing these sections would be good practice for the midterm. Some questions for material since quiz 2 may include 4.12-4.19, 4.27, 4.28, 6.1-6.13.
I have not looked carefully at these questions, so some of them might contain material that we did not cover.

Lab 1 extension
Because Lab 1 is due the same day as the midterm (Oct 25), I am granting an extension on the due date to October 30.
